We believe that we can save life

Founded on December 11, 2019, the Back Home Initiative (BHI) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization with a clear mission to positively impact the future of our nation by redirecting resources and ideas back home across various states. BHI operates at three key levels—global, regional, and country—ensuring its initiatives reaches a broad spectrum of communities. The organization’s efforts are centered on empowering young men, especially the boy-child, through education, skill-building, and fostering social awareness. By collaborating with both government agencies and private sector partners, BHI creates valuable opportunities that support youth development and drive long-term societal change. Through its work, BHI is helping shape a generation of responsible, educated, and skilled young men prepared to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.

Organizational Structure

The Back Home Initiative (BHI) operates across three distinct levels: global, regional, and country. This multi-level approach enables the organization to address local needs while maintaining a broad, international perspective. At the core of BHI’s operations is a dedicated team of professionals, including experienced management experts and administrative staff, who are committed to driving positive change. The organization collaborates closely with various stakeholders, including government ministries, private sector partners, and community organizations, to ensure the success and sustainability of its programs. By fostering strong partnerships and leveraging resources across different sectors, BHI works toward achieving its mission of empowering youth and creating lasting impact in society

Our Mission

Back Home Initiative is dedicated to promoting dignity in labor and empowering the boy child through education, rehabilitation, and social consciousness. Through our LEAP (Learning, Empowerment, and Advancement Program), we provide skills development, vocational education, and life skills training, with an emphasis on societal behavior, gender sensitivity, and mental health awareness. By focusing on the education and holistic development of the boy-child, we aim to eliminate poverty, reduce domestic violence, and equip young men to adapt to the evolving gender equality landscape. Our goal is to empower them to thrive in a world that values women's rights and dignity.

Our Vision

BHI envisions a global community of educated, empowered, and responsible young men who are conscious of their social and moral responsibilities. These individuals will be equipped with technical and life skills, ready to contribute to the eradication of poverty, the reduction of violence, and the promotion of gender equality. The organization aspires to create a world where boys, regardless of their background, have equal opportunities to succeed, lead with integrity, and advocate for a more inclusive, empathetic society

BHI believes in promoting gender sensitivity and positive societal behaviors. Our programs empower young men to become advocates for gender equality, equality in relationships, and respectful co-existence with women and other members of society.
